Three meals you can cook without spending much

A beginner grocery list and three flexible meals that do not require fancy equipment.

Keep this in mindFeeding yourself does not have to look perfect. A simple meal you will eat is a successful meal.

If this feels bigger than it should, that does not mean you are doing it wrong. Most hard things become more manageable when you stop trying to solve every part at once.

A simple plan

  1. Start with one base you like—rice, pasta, potatoes, or tortillas.
  2. Add one protein and two vegetables that can work in more than one meal.
  3. Cook enough for tomorrow and label the container before it disappears into the fridge.

Make the next step smaller

Choose the easiest action on this page and give it ten minutes. You can stop, adjust, or ask someone to join you after that. Small progress still counts, especially on a hard day.
